during the bataan death march hundreds of american/filipino prisoners were herded into some establishment called the "blue moon dance hall" for guarding during the night spent in san fernando before moving on to tarlac. i wonder if this infamous establishment is still standing or if the location of that hell hole is even known here in 2007?? i dont know the capacity/square footage/etc, but whatever it may have been it wasnt designed to hold hundred of prisoners. but as often happened the japanese jammed the suffering troops into the inadequate space with little if any water. any info on this event or its location.

In regards the last two entries: KIA is the Korean car company and I use their dealership in San Fernando. The 'blue moon dance hall' I'm sure isn't standing any more. Most buildings at that time were out of wood or other native products and have rotted away into oblivion. Now a days most things are constructed out of cement blocks or concrete. Today the Philippines look nothing like that WWII area.

Pinatubo's eruption has obliterated many of the weaker structures in the general radius of the mountain (Subic, Clark), much of the Pampanga area and many of the provinces around it reaching Tarlac to the north and northeast.
