Hi, Okla You did right. Firstly, I don't think your issue was because I blew off that "pimp-listing" urban vermin. The forum and the website are hosted at separate servers, by separate companies, under separate domains. Last night there were a few hours when I was having some 501 errors (I shan't explain) and they seem to have disappeared this morning (fingers crossed.) I have no idea if what was happening caused either or both our issues. This morning, the main entry portal ( corregidor.org ) came up normal, and navigation through to the GHQ page ( corregidor.org/_admin/CTN_central/ctn_ghq_index_composite.htm ) was also without error. The latest feature (the 4-column features footer) which I was attempting to load last night, is now there, and operating. And also a very special Field Notes item which I am sure will make your day. If you are still having problems, perhaps it is an issue with your computer browser, in which circumstance I would advise you to clear the cache. Regards, ExO

Now I'll comment --- seems to me that what we have here is an example of a "Big government steps in" transaction which occurs throughout the world, not just between Cabcaben and Corregidor. Many years ago, when I was young and single, a young lady of my acquaintance commented that when I started to play Ravel's Bolero on the hi-fi, she knew she was about to get royally screwed. (Well, it works for some...) "Hark, is that Ravel's Bolero I hear?"

Thankfully, you missed the section for "guest spots" and went direct into top quality. Welcome to the board.
Though there has been a section on "Secret Corregidor" my google analytics tells me it hasn't been visited often. I hope you can breathe some life back into it, as you clearly are an authority in the area.
My take on why some personnel were evacuated later than others is to the effect that a good part of what Corregidor was able to do involved traffic interception and analysis, and that this was capable of being done at a comparatively lower level of technology. After all, a radio is a radio is a radio, and much less a loss than any top secret machinery. Having a base station at Corregidor would have provided a much superior triangulation to establish origin of signals, I guess. Hence, the longer Corregidor was operating , the more accurately they could locate the various fleet and army elements by RDF.
