Thanks for the photos. I always liked that view of Corregidor from Bataan. It really shows how close to Japanese guns those Corregidor defenders were.

Hey dmether...Many thanks for posting these shots. The picture of Corregidor, as Fots said, certainly shows how vulnerable it was to the Japanese batteries. Somewhere on this forum there is a photo (maybe shot by you) taken from a higher elevation, Nipponese artillery spotters were, literally, looking down Corregidor's throat. Those defenders were, truly, in the bullseye. There was a piece on the History Channel ten years or so ago, depicting a Death March survivor and his son going to the Mariveles/Cacaben area and the old vet finding the exact spot where he abandoned and destroyed the engine of his half track before surrendering to the enemy. You possibly walked or drove right over this location when taking your photos. Cheers.
