What's new on Corregidor? ATV'S THAT'S WHAT! ATV's ! Yes, you can now rent an ATV on Corregidor. Ten are available. Sure they're fun, but we're talking about a Memorial Zone! They pollute the quiet, they pollute the air, they damage the ecology, but worst of all, they pollute the respectful, reflective and contemplative state of mind that Corregidor is supposed to create.

ATV? I think that is Noisy and I don't think its fun to do ATV riding in Ft.Mills. The Only thing good about that is I can rent some to use for my Mobility since I have a hard time moving around but then again whats the point in going to corregidor If will stick on the road and not go into the remote batteries. Sorry for the rant it has been a rough week for me

I would not mind taking one up Malinta or Morrison Hill and then walk my way back and report that "enemy troops" have forcibly taken the RTV from me. I just need to repeat it 9 more times.

A.T.V. stands for All "Terrain" Vehicle. A.R.V would be an All "Road" Vehicle. Which did they buy?
The thorny vines and trees will rip both vehicle and person alike for those who venture off road. Of course all will stay to the roads or specified trails right? Which trails are to be cleared? Plenty of cliffs to test if A.T.V.'s can fly...........
The sounds of A.T.V's echoing though the Mile Long Barracks as they race each other to the Swimming pool...............first one in the pool wins.
The vibrations of that race will require hard hats for all as the vibrations bring down large chucks of stressed concrete hanging from the festering ceiling.
Best clear some space in the old Cemetery on Tailside for the rookie riders who will pay to ride something they've never even seen before.
The A.T.V.'s can also race the tourist trolleys on the winding roads. Horns provided on those babies of course!
Coming down north Malinta Hill road towards Enlisted Man's Beach, priceless memories!

Hey Folks....Zip Lines, ATVs, what the Hell is going on? I am too old to see it happen, but I truly believe that somewhere down the line the Rock runs the real possibility of becoming a second rate amusement park. God forbid.

And I wonder if Magsaysay are going to allow the ATV's on the beach at all, considering that the beach is where Green Sea Turtles come to lay their eggs? There's so little spoken about the Green Sea Turtles of Corregidor that you'd think it was deliberate. Perhaps that's because Green Sea Turtles are protected not only by international laws, but also by Philippine Law, and what's happening might well be contrary to law. Where's the WWF when you want them? Seems like ATV actually stands for "Anti Turtle Vehicles."

I agree with you guys, this is a shame. I would think that the Philippine government would be more heritage oriented than this. After all, this island is symbolic worldwide, and you would think it would be just as important to the Philippine people as it is to an American, or Japanese. I agree with okla, its showing signs of them trying to turn Corregidor into an "adventure island". If it keeps going in that direction thats exactly what it will turn into, an amusement park. There needs to be a line drawn. What can we do about this?

And to add another thing the Lights and sounds show at the Malinta is Awful and totally out of place they should be showing those shows in Mainland manila in the Universities. I don't know whats wrong with the People running the country They are intentionally forgetting WW2.
When I studied in UST during the Orientation about the Main Building the part where they say the Building was turned into a concentration camp was very limited. They even removed the Colayco Park where a Filipino hero of the Liberation was being honored they removed the UST WW2 Martyrs Garden.
