According to E M Flanagan (Corregidor - The Rock Force Assault), Lt Endo commanded 10 x 150 mm guns, which were brought into action against USN minesweepers and escorting destroyers on 14th Feb. Some of this ordnance was located on the north shore west of Morrison Point and was allegedly dug in.
I don't find any mention of these weapons subsequently. Does anyone have information on this?

I think its was more of the Navy 120mm Type 10 Dual Purpose guns than Lt. Endo had rather than 150mm. The 150mm was used by the Japanese Army and I doubt if any of them were in the island at any point in time. There may have been a couple of 127mm gun but I cant find any evidence that they were deployed in Corregidor. A few of 120mm still exist in Corregidor and a number are now on display at the Peace Park. Below is a photo (one of the barrel has been cut off) One is still mounted in the nothern side of the island with it barrel also cut off. That's me on the photo. HTH,

Thanks, batteryboy. Still interested to know if they were dug into the North shore and, if so, where. I don't find any indictiations from the regular boonie stompers. Are there any publicly available inventories of ordnance following securing of the island?

Yes, a number of them where in emplaced facing north to cover the northern channel. They were spread out and located near the old land defense emplacements which also served as their ammo depot.
I cant recall if there are any public documents that detail what the Japanese emplaced on the island. I will check the Japanese Monographs and see if I can find more details. My information came from various sources.

Batts, was that used as an AA? Is it of Japanese origin?

The 120mm Type 10 DP (dual purpose) but was used in a variety of roles. It was used as an AA and surface to surface. A number were installed on Japanese Navy vessels (until later replaced by the newer 127mm), island fortifications and even shore batteries. It was a good gun as long as its manned by a good crew. Around 2000+ were built by Japan from 1921 to the end of the war.
