I thought you'd like to know that someone has come out with a 1:350th scale kit of Ft. Drum: www.freetimehobbies.com/BRM-35001.aspxI have the kit - suffice to say it is stunning. John Sheridan

Hey Cat...Viewing the neat Fort Drum model causes me to regret, even to a greater extent, that this unique and historic installation is "going to Hell in a hand basket" as far as preservation is concerned. Tragic situation, methinks.

Awesome kit, but definitely for an experienced builder.

A bit pricey for me. But still I'm drooling for it. Are there available guns for the side turrets? Batteryboy have to see this.

I have seen this including other depictions of Fort Drum in different scales (scratchbuilt ones). I have plans of building one (being a scale modeller) but might just settle for kit as I am too busy and lazy to scratchbuild.

Yup,I know the two gents who did this. Really good scale modelers and scratch builders.

That model is spectacular. Can you name the model-makers so that we can be aware of them? It's not quite their 15 minutes of fame, but they sure have created a model that looks to be of museum quality! Kudos to those involved!

The makers are Mel Silvestre and Ian Borja. Mel is a professor at the fine arts department at UP. I know both of them personally when I was EX-O at IPMS Philippines.
