I have accorded to Pvt. Dale C. KELLIS, from Ohio, SN 35131351, Date of Death 25 June, 1945, Place of Death Negros, Philippine Islands, a permanent place in the Honor Roll of the 503d PRCT The basis for inclusion is that he is interred under the auspices of the Army in the American Cemetery at Manila as a member of the 462nd.
I have no information of cause or circumstance of death, which Battery, or any mention of him anywhere else.
Bless 'em All Paul F. Whitman Registrar of the Honor Roll

My computer with all my Ohio records is currently buried under a pile of "junk". PFC Kellis is listed on NARA as Fayette County but Clinton County has him as a KIA WWII vet. The 2 counties are next to each other, maybe he lived on the border of the 2 counties. WWII Memorial has him as DNB, but again, Clinton county has him listed as KIA. Which means one thing...More research to do.
Thanks EXO for the homework, I'll work on this little mystery. Dan
