Hey Patty....When I was in High School, back in the late 1940s, there was, of course many WW 2 Jeeps floating around. One of my best buddies bought one cheap, fixed it up, and since our school mascot was a Zebra, he painted it with black and white Zebra stripes. Dragging main street, during decent weather, it attracted the girls like heroin attracts a junkie. Not so much during cold, Oklahoma evenings. That old vehicle was a lot of fun, though. Cheers. Postscript....You might have wondered "just what kind of name is ZEBRA" for a High School mascot". Well, I don't blame you since, at last count or at least back then, there were only two such schools in the USA, the other being Pine Bluff High School, Arkansas.
