Hi, I've been reading up on the history of Corregidor. I am in Ramadi, Iraq in a camp called Fort Corregidor. I was unaware of the history of that name so I looked it up. When I arrived here in Ramadi back in July of 2005, we relieved the 503rd out of Camp Casey, Korea. We have been here since and have been joined by the 506th who arrived in December(Christmas day actually). I am a designated marksman(platoon sniper) with A Co 3/103 Ar from the 28th Div in Pennsylvania. I began my service in active duty as a recon scout and continue to do so in the National Guard. I want to say thanks to all the men who have served before me and to those who went thru hell on that island. My time here has not been the greatest but nothing compared to that island! It's a great honor to share that namesake for our camp. Take care and God bless. Sgt. Kurt Spieles

Dear Sgt. Spieles, I will pass your letter along to the Corregidor veterans who have contact through the website. I am an Aussie who runs the site from Brisbane Australia. It is of great pleasure to me that you are accessing the website from Ramadi. I am very pleased to consider I have contributed to the confidence with which you are doing your job.
If you are going to be there in Ramadi a while longer, I will send to you a copy of our Membership CD, at no charge.
eXo
