This is probably easy for you guys. Mixed in with the other Corregidor photos was this one labeled '1941 training....'. I have not seen it before. I label all my photos so I just wanted your confirmation. I think it is the 155mm semi-fixed gun a few metres from Battery Monja. Wheeler Point to the left, Battery Monja to the right and open ocean ahead so looking in a southerly direction. The photographer may have been standing at the end of the now gone south shore road. The cut through the ridge is sharp in this pre war photo but war shelling would certainly collapse and smooth that out. Notice the semi-circular gun mount. Was it a section of that we saw when we first reached the top of the ridge? John

The photo in question was among many Corregidor photos. Other than Wheeler Point, I don't know where else it would be since the view ahead is open ocean.
In your 3rd photo of Wheeler Point, that angle sure gives no impression of how much effort it required to get up there and travel along the ridge. That was a good day hiking.
