I am sure the number is very low, but any info on approximately how many Japanese were taken prisoner during the campaign on Bataan, any photos ?

Hey Xray....In all the reading, etc I have done regarding Bataan/Corregidor, I don't think I have ever seen a quote on the number of Japanese prisoners that were in Fil/American hands at the time of Gen'l King's surrender. Somewhere, I seem to recall reading that approximately 50 wounded Japanese were at one of the two Hospitals. The Commander of the enemy force that took over the Hospital seemed to be impressed at the humane treatment that our guys had, obviously, given the wounded Japanese POWs. Consequently, their treatment of our personnel was more lenient than what was displayed at the other Hospital where beatings, rape, etc took place. What a difference just a few miles made. Other than this tidbit, I have not the slightest notion of just how many Japanese were in our prison pens, if any. Cheers.

Yes, I imagine most if not all would have been wounded/incapacitated. Might not have fared well when recaptured, I'm sure they must have been filled with shame for being captured alive.
