Thanks for the tip batterboy, will look for this book.
A connection to the Cavalry........
I was looking though some old family papers and I came across my Grandfathers Discharge papers from WWI. Very interesting on whole but one line stuck out.
Horsemanship--Not Mounted
also
Discharged- Camp Grant Ill. Jun 26 1919 Paid in full-102.35 Including Bonus of $60.00 Act of Feb. 24, 1919.
Not mounted, how many were back then?

(rest in peace Phantom, I wish I had the honor of meeting you) Thanks Batteryboy. Will keep an eye out. We've been waiting for this book for years. At some point in 2010, the original publisher canceled the title... then someone else said it could be pre-ordered somewhere else but it didn't pan out. Hopefully this time it will happen. I wonder how much different it would be compared to Twilight Riders. (Posts in Pinoyhistory forum) --------------- March 2010 Thanks for your inquiry. This title has been canceled. This book is going to be published, apparently, this coming August. I put in my pre-order here: www.buy.com/prod/the-doomed-horsemen-of-bataan/q/loc/106/212596892.htmlHopefully if enough pre-orders are made they wont cancel publication... like last time. Not sure that logic holds water, but it sounds good.
