I am new to this site and glad that it is here. I recently made a trip to Manila to view the grave of my great uncle Art Fast, who died at Cabanatuan in 1942. Since his IDPF says he was in Hq Battery 59th Coast Artillery, I assume he was captured at Corregidor. I don't have any pictures of him, but maybe there is someone out there who remembers something about him or the 59th Coast Artillery. I know from his file that he had a filipina wife and they had at least one child. He was from Shafter, California, near Bakersfield. I want to return to the Philippines and visit Corregidor and any other important locations in December. If anyone has information about TSGT Arthur Fast, I would appreciate hearing about it. Thanks!
