It is probably too late to warn many of our Troopers, but there's a few of their families who should be aware that the old footlocker is a treasure chest, not a pile of junk - so whatever you do, DON'T listen to the kindly old gent who says he'll be doing you a favor to take it off your hands for fifty bucks.

Handsomely bound it may be, and his uncle may well have been famous, but it's just a bunch of photocopies of the stuff all of us have in our files. Get real!

Re: the Corregidor Book
I can recognise pages from "Rails to Doomsday" by Charles S, Small, Copyright 1998; and "After the Battle", "Number 23", Copyright 1979. The pages look like photocopies, particularly as some other pages, in the same "book", have black edges and the edges of pages of the signature behind.
Flogging off photocopies is a crime.

It appears the book that is for sale was very personal to it's creator. He spent a lot of time lovingly putting it together, note the binding. I'm sure he did not foresee it ending up on E bay when he was putting it together.
History as $ signs, donate the work to a museum, not on line to the highest bidder.
I noticed no one has bid yet, maybe they also know about copyrights and good, clear, accurate pictures.
If someone is in the market for a book like this he must surly know this book is a compilation from other works and books, that this book does not do justice to.
This should be a meaningful book in the hands of the authors family, alas it's only worth money..........
