Fots2, To quote Buster, Hmmmmm I thought I knew where the bunker was (is) but was completely stumped when the picture of the the bunker's view of the ocean came into sight. Clean bowled. So no, I have no idea. Great feature post, Fots.

Honorable mention to okla, he gets a beer too.
This bunker is very well constructed as with all the other US built structures. I would guess that it is not on any map as it might date 'post 1936' when the last complete map was created.

Karl and The Phantom get a beer. It seems that bunker has not been visited for years though.

Hey Fots...You will, or course, reveal to us uninformed, illiterates, the actual location of this fortification. I wonder if any of the scrawls on the tunnel walls could belong to troops who actually defended or recaptured (in 1945) this position. Obviously, with dates such as 1980,etc plastered everywhere, it isn't likely, but it would be neat to discover something such as "Cpl Joe Jones, 59th CA Regt, May 1942" etched in a remote corner somethere. My imagination is off and running again. Please forgive my fantasy.

Hi okla, When I was there I was rushed for time at the sun was setting. I will have a good look at the graffiti next visit. This hint will narrow down the location for you. At the beach in front of the bunker, look seaward and you will see this chunk of rock.

Hey Fots.....My Lord, I was completely off base. My deduction couldn't have been more erroneous.

The first time I visited The Rock was 2008. I returned in 2009 and had a geat time. As a guide, I used the book Corrigedor: The Rock Force Assault by Lt. Gen. EM Flanagan, Jr. It is an excellent resource on the recapturing of Corregidor. It provided great info on various battle sites. I highly recommend it.

Hi Robert,
I have not read that book, it is probably difficult to get a copy from the Philippines. Did you find all the places you were looking for?
