W508 in this picture the 2nd from the left is Spike Nasmyth, the three Americans in the middle are the three FedEx volunteers, the two locals were guides from the local village and at right is Mrs. Edna Binkowski. This should be a 2008 image, I believe.

Mr. Lito Rovia (a boatyard owner in Mariveles) was a most valuable asset in the project to find the American Pilot Lt. Stone on the Mount Mariveles. Lt Stone perished on the 9th of Feb 1942 together with his foe in a dog fight on this mountain. Lt Stone was protecting a Philippine pilot doing reconnaissance over Cavite to spot the Japanese Artillery bombarding Corregidor. In an effort over 5 years both crash sites were found but only remains of the Japanese pilot, Sgt. Kurosawa were recovered.

It was not known to me; a professional photographer friend is pursuing a WWII story of a US and a Japanese. Fighter air plane that crashed there in 1942. We both don't know our way around there. Since I got more time, on this date I did a scouting trip to find out where the trail is:
