If anyone is fussy about accurate records, here is a photo labeling error for you. Compare the Case Report photo labeled as Battery James Gun #1 to my photos and read the following points. The photo is not Gun #1. If not Gun #1, which gun is it? Not Gun #1 because: - the right side wall at gun #1 position is heavily damaged/missing. - the right side wall at Gun #1 it would have gone straight back towards the rear. Not Gun #4 because: - the left hand side makes a very sharp turn but Gun #4 left hand side goes straight back towards the rear. - there is not a big chunk of concrete out of the left hand side wall. - the right hand corner is heavily damaged. It is Gun #3 because: - the left side wall is partially damaged near the top. - the left hand side takes a very sharp turn towards the left. - the right hand side takes a very sharp turn towards the right. - the right hand corner is undamaged. The Case Report photo that is labeled as Battery James Gun #1 Battery James Gun #1 Battery James Gun #4 Battery James Gun #4. Note the left side wall goes straight from the gun position to the rear wall. Gun #1 position would have looked similar on its right side wall. Battery James Gun #3 The Case Report photo again for easy comparison to the Gun #3 photo above. Looks the same to me especially if you eliminate positions #1 and #4. P.S. Gun #2 is not mentioned because it is very clearly not the Case Report photo here. I will post Battery James Gun #2 photos in the "Then and Now" section soon.

This is the link, click here tinyurl.com/3aga2nxThey are large photographs, so beware if you have a slow hookup.......If you can't load them let me know, we will go to Plan B

The label is now corrected.
Where there's any correction to be made, it is of greatest assistance to include the page address. We have almost 10,000 elements and sometimes it is difficult to locate the offending error. A page URL assists me to go directly to the error.
Thanks Fots. It is a constant battle against all sorts of factors to try to make the site as good as I can, and I certainly appreciate your generosity of spirit in enhancing it by your constantly exceptional visuals. The presentation of interesting visuals is a constant challenge, and you are one of the precious few.

You are welcome EXO.
Armyjunk, it is around 100 degrees F here today but it is still Christmas for me. Thank-you for all the large size photos. I have not seen some of them before.
I see two label errors: “Kindley Field Hangar and Apron” is actually the 92nd Garage area and “Battery James Gun 1” is actually gun #3.
Great post.

Several mistakes in the document, claims of breechblocks being destroyed, some are still there today. which would indicate someone didn't do his duty to destroy equipment. Glad you liked those pics, were they any trouble to load? and you have mail
