I am a member of a group who has been working on a local history project. This project has involved gathering information on several subjects of our Township's history. One of the subjects is on its military and our veterans.
One of the veterans that we are honored to have in our book was in the 59th CAC, Battery "I". His name is George R. Bilhardt. In reading Lt. Stockton D. Bruns history of the "Idaho", I noticed the name of "Pfc. George R. Nilhardt in the 21st paragraph. I am wondering if could be a typographical error and in fact this person could be our "Pfc. George R. Bilhardt"?
I am amazed at the wealth of information you have accumulated at your site. In addition, I have also been in contact with Mr. Roger Mansell. We are so fortunate to have both the Corregidor Historical Society and the Mansell POW sites available to the public. It is a true honor to our veterans who gave their all.
