Good photos there dmether.
The last photo may show the first jumpers over Landing Zone B. No other chutes on the ground at either DZ.

They're men. (There's no way that you can kick that number of bundles -- seven -- out the door so fast.) This is one of the negatives that Fred Hill had a copy of, and the section of the image we are looking at is really only about a quarter of the entire negative. For more in this series, see: corregidor.org/archive/Signal%20Corps/html/sci_05_02.htmlIf anyone wants prints from Fred, they better get in quickly as he is making arrangements for closing down of his lab. Fred wrote me recently: All of my black and white negatives covering the two years that I had the privilege of spending in that outstandingly beautiful area of the world.........New Guinea and the Philippines and this is not sarcasm......have been transferred to the Pierce Library Archives on the Eastern Oregon University campus. 1,523 of them have been scanned, indexed and placed on their website, They are thus available to writers, historians, researchers etc who might be seeking illustrations for their manuscripts. I have released all connection to them whatever the library may choose to charge for copies or one time use fees will be theirs to help offset the costs involved in doing the scanning and archivally filing. Fred retained the 503d by states negatives, and 503d PRCT Heritage Bn is making arrangements for their custody.
