I was reading about the history and folklore of Kilroy. From the famous drawings seen across the world during WWII. You see Kilroy in many places. I'm wondering if anyone has run across original WWII artwork of Kilroy on Corregidor? Kilroy would most likely have been drawn 1945 or later on Corregidor if he is there at all. I do not think Kilroy was "in service" until mid 1942. ...and would he have been part of the 503rd? Thanks Dan Attachments:

Hi Dan,
In my travels it seems that Kilroy was NOT here. Perhaps others have seen some trace of him.

Nope, never.
And If there was one there now, I wouldn't be inclined to trust it as original. There's graffiti but other than in the base hospital, I consider it just low tone.
I did see an "E" cut into a hard clay area along the trail from Way to James, which looked to me to be something someone from 3d Bn might have done while on a trail break, so I don't doubt it was possible. But people already tend to know where paratroopers have been first, and without Kilroy's help.

There is a Kilroy location on Corregidor and it's Author is known to this site, EXO, and it was done with the best intentions and not to deceive the history of Corregidor.
It was emblazoned above the fireplace of Colonel Kirkpatrick home, ( actual location in question?) a few years ago at the request of his daughter Mary Kirkpatrick. Mary was forced to leave Corregidor with her mother and brother in 1941 when the dependents were forced to leave Corregidor.
Mary requested that we draw the Kilroy symbol in her former home for her brother who had already passed away, because she said, "He would have wanted it there".
We went to their house, (actual location in question?) and had a Scotch on the doorstep in honor of Mary, her brother, and Colonel Kirkpatrick of course.
EXO did Kilroy above the fire place on the second floor as that was their home, it's still there last time I looked.
I mailed Mary the last of the Scotch whiskey in the bottle.
She had also sent me letters sent to her during the war by her father, which we brought back to their home and then mailed back to her.
So Kilroy is there by request, on the second floor of Colonel Kirkpatrick's house in Officers row on Topside.
Fading away as the home bakes in the tropical sun and drowns in the monsoon rains.
