German Chancellor Angela Merkel arrives at Passport Control at Paris' Orly Airport.
"Nationality?" asks the French immigration officer.
"German," she replies.
"Occupation?"
"No, just here for a few days."

Hey Phantom...That's a keeper. I have a friend, who is married to a girl (now an old woman) from Everude, France, where he was stationed with NATO (before DeGaulle insisted that organization quit LaBelle France). I must tell Paulette this little morsel. I am sure she will receive it with mixed feelings. Cheers.

Meaning of the word TENSHIN caught my interest while reading;
"RETURN TO THE PHILIPPINES" TIME/LIFE BOOKS 1979
During the battle on Leyte for BREAKNECK RIDGE, when the battle was going particularly BAD, the Japanese commander issued the order.
TENSIN!
Which was a new command for the Japanese, only brought into being as their defeats were mounting.
TENSHIN- Literally it meant, TURN AROUND AND ADVANCE! It was a recently coined euphemism for retreat.
Most of the Japanese so ordered didn't understand the new order, they advanced into the murderous American fire and were mowed down every one.
