i just had a really scary thought:

what if, the ship had air pockets when she hit the sea floor...?

also, an update on my renderings! may still have gotten things wrong but i did try to re-read to make sure


i also put myself as if i was among the people to make sense of everything, that helped ground me + honestly it made feel really terrified.

interesting find: i have been scouring for references while working on the prewar manila project. was looking at this image and saw what i think is the CORREGIDOR docked in the pasig-! some things may have been changed here- the forward lifeboats removed, etc. the date of this image is 1938 9 august,,

Good spotting Kathryna! It took me a little while to locate it in the photo. It is the Corregidor, easily identified by the ships features and the background landmarks in the two images below.
