Absolutely superb! Great clear photos of the destruction. The areas shown have been cleaned up and manicured to quite a great degree since then.

Hard to say anything about this posting. Depressing is about all I can think of....the photo is all the more horrible knowing those men and their fate.

Karl, are you sure those divers are Navy? As I noted in an earlier post on this subject, the salvaging men appear to be Coast Guard, perhaps in conjunction with the Navy?

Whenever I hear the word "develope" in the Philippines, I shudder. If TIEZA can maintain Corregidor as it does Mt Samat, perhaps there is some hope!

What is happening here? Is all of this to mean that Corregidor is no longer accessible? Please put this in direct terms. If this is so, I don't believe it can last....can it?

Unfortunately this is all Greek to me and wish there were something constructive I could offer. I believe all our hats are off to EXO in this struggle!

Mac did indeed start out in the Corps of Engineers. Is this stone insignia still there above the tunnel entrance?

I take it that this gun shed would be just above the engineering power plant on the road to Battery James? I note the large mounds of something for construction purposes, so would guess this to be in the 1920s or so?

Boy, were those guns on Hell Hill exposed! I doubt they would have lasted long in any kind of serious engagement.
