Hey Karl....Excellent stuff. It was great viewing the area surrounding the sites of these long overlooked battles from back in 1942. Hope you will take us through the "Pockets" area in the future. I certainly envy all you guys who have the opportunity to actually prowl these "sacred" grounds. Keep up the good work. They are certainly appreciated by us who will never get over to the PI.

Hey Karl....I just wanted to relay a belated "thank you" for the pics of the "Pockets" Monument. I, somehow, missed this posting, just running on to it this morning here in Tulsa. It fell thru the "cracks" just as my wife was going thru some rather hectic medical problems and I, for several days, was remiss in checking this website as closely as I generally do. Anyhow, I didn't want you to think that I didn't appreciate you taking the trouble to post these photos. I can't tell you guys who are actually "on the ground" over there in the PI how much your continuing efforts mean to me and I am sure other Bataan/Corregidor "geeks". I repeat, "it's almost like actually being there".

Wow Karl, nice photos! I made a trip to Quinauan Point by zodiac boat in June 1986, but only had a VHS camcorder. I'll be getting a VHS-DVD recorder soon, and then I should be able to reproduce some pictures here. I walked along the beach, and climbed up the cliffs to the top near the prominent point on the NW side. Here are some aerial photos I took in 1986 from a Cubi Point flying club Cessna: First is Quinauan Point, NW side, where I climbed the cliffs. Chad Hill (repost of photo; larger format)
