Does the beach look like any part of Corregidor at all?
This doesn't have to be the 34th landing on the beach....could this be the 151st landing two weeks later for the occupation and on another part of Corregidor....not black beach?
This landing seems too relaxed in pictures 9 and 10. I would think the 34th landing would be a little more dramatic on Feb 16th.

I have a new series of photos of beach landings. Some of the pictures mention Corregidor, so I assumed all the photos are of Corregidor. These 2 photos came in question as actually being Corregidor, What are your thoughts and reasons? If in your travels you might have seen similar beach landing photos, is there enough to identify where they might be? Thanks for your help. Dan

I recently acquired aerial photos of Corregidor from Feb. 6 1945. They are very impressive and once the set has been scanned at 2400 dpi I will show you many more cool things. This is a tiny part of one picture @ 150 dpi. I can't wait to show you guys the rest. Anyway....Just throwing this out there for you to play with. If you know it, wait a little for some of the new guys to guess...but what Battery is in the photo and what part of the island? Enjoy Dan Attachments:

Your father was in Co. B? When did he join the 503rd and was he always in Co. B?
I have some early photos of guys from Co. B. The lack of names is a huge bummer. If there is a possibility of your father being in the photos, based upon his time of entering the 503rd, I can send you scans of all of these pictures and see if you see him.
Also, would you happen to have a picture of him? Maybe I can do a quick search and see if anyone looks like him for these Co. B photos.
Thanks Dan

Some of you know I put this little website together www.japanesecollector.comEvery year we have a meeting and do a rather nice presentation. This years presentation is now available for download. Three really nice articles this year. Finally I'm not the only one doing the articles..I can get other people to do them. It takes enough time just putting the booklet together. To download the presentation, go to the website above and click on the "Downloads" page and click on the 2011 GLJC presentation. Enjoy. Dan

William Brown was in Company "E". I have a friend that was in Company "E". I need to see how he's doing so, I'll contact him and ask about your Great Uncle.
Stay tuned. Things move slow I would not expect anything for a few weeks. Thanks Dan
